It's been a while since I've opened my website and wrote anything. Mainly as every time I opened the bloody thing I got anxiety over it. Anxiety that if someone from over here (Croatia) saw it and saw the links to the Itchio store and whatnot... I'd get a tax inspection. They were really weird about that for like six months last year.
Which brought me to a quiet enough time to stop, reflect, and rebrand... I guess?
The situation got worse. They rolled out Fiscalisation 2.0 which in the way it was written? LOL forget any kind of small scale work!
But luckily addendums and additional rulings were made. And people ended up with fines for stuff that's too close to what I do. Luckily I dodged it by removing everything from Itchio. Well disabling it's visibility for now.
Which brings me to the actual good news: I sorted all papers and all I now need is to sign a single last document and get my work ID.
I'm kind of stalling this till I get to the alpha release of DOMAIINS. Mainly as I want to be 100% sure that the minimum required 200€ per quartal will be reached. In the worst case scenario I can gather that money from my dayjob and pay out of my own pocket, but failure to pay said quarterly fee is termination of my company, well technically... Manufacture and Guild admittance (yes sound epic, no it's dumb in my language).
But if nothing I've gotten the Player section of DOMAIINS out in the wild and got some okay reviews on it, and the Overseer (or GM) section of the book is being finished.
And for the record I utterly hate the whole thing. I hate how I look at my writing and want to re-re-re-re-rewrite all of it. But if nothing I'm at the point where what I've written is okay and publishable as is.
I will be going the full on diy path tho. I've been flirting with "self made" stuff for a while, but I've cemented the idea now. I'd rather have something I've made myself, no matter how bad. My writing, my editing, my art. Basically ART. In the purest form. Than have it perfect.
This is both spite and pride. In all of it's forms. Basically my own agenda and my own maifesto if you wish.
With that in mind... The current, albeit crumbling, plan is to use my next vacation time to finalise the DOMAIINS rulebook (PDF) and prepare a single print version. I wanted to have it done and in my hands by my birthday, but yeah. Not happening. I'm in no rush tho. The actual papers are done and all that I need now is to finalise the print along with the alpha / beta / free test rules.
Once that is done. I will open my company fully (basically activate my ID), and at that time I will open up both options to tip me, and sale of previous works will happen (maybe, I'm still not sure what I think of that).
Either way, once again I want to thank everyone who supported me and all of you who are looking forwards to my horror game. Once that is done I will be tackling the next one.
